THMPR is a Portland-based experimental and improvisational music project that specializes in capturing moments of communion with the muse and instantly composing it right in front of your eyes and ears.

They have shared the stage with other prominently audacious performers such as Mike Dillon and Nolatet, Sexmob, Skerik and even the great Bombino,. All the while building a devoted base for their quirky, live exploration in sound, their unique brand compels you through avant garde jazz and funk, to melodic bliss and atmospheric noise that culminate into crescendos of chaos and moments of madness until finally delivering you to your own planet of peace and tranquillity.

Ralph Huntley, Jason Carter, Count Kellam, Steve Berlin, Tom Nunes, Courtney Von Drehle and host of guests join together to bring you the most death defying improv this side of the Mississippi.

Notes on Seating: Jack London provides two options. Reserved Seating is purchased on a table-by-table basis in the central part of the venue and is only available for select shows. Seating in the General Admission section is limited, first com e first served, and may be standing room only.

THMPR

THMPR is a collaborative improv project comprised of local and internationally accomplished musicians and producers. Jason Driver, Count Kellam, Jason Carter and Ralph Huntley form a cohesive, improvisational lineup that push boundaries and avoid derivative themes. All members come from drastically different musical backgrounds but unite under the principle of composition. THMPR seek to create unique moments, mining, finding and sculpting right in front of your eyes and ears. Tonight we have Ezekial Brown and Courtney Von Drehle. Ezekial, aka "The Chocolate Giant" is a genuine wordsmith. Through his spoken word tributes such as The Lyric Project, Ezekial continues to define himself as a true artist, seeking every possible way to connect artistically to the world around him. Courtney rounds out the core lineup tonight with THMPR, providing his unique multi-instrumentalist style to the overall quirky sound of THMPR.
