Backed by an 8-piece band of Portland all-stars, Aniana playfully bounces from soul, reggae, dub, electronic, disco and rock with the explosive energy of Axl Rose and the sultry, soulful emotion of Sade. Aniana’s powerful, all-encompassing vocal range is matched with a punching 3-piece horn section and a rhythm section that morphs between analog and digital, acoustic to electronic, with thoughtful arrangements by her MD, bassist Brett McConnell.
