THMPR
THMPR is a collaborative improv project comprised of local and internationally accomplished musicians and producers. Jason Driver, Count Kellam, Jason Carter and Ralph Huntley form a cohesive, improvisational lineup that push boundaries and avoid derivative themes.
All members come from drastically different musical backgrounds but unite under the principle of composition. THMPR seek to create unique moments, mining, finding and sculpting right in front of your eyes and ears.
Have a listen to some tracks off their upcoming debut LP: https://soundcloud.com/thmpr-band/sets With a focus on improv, you can always expect surprise guests to sit in.
Tonight we have Ezekial Brown and Courtney Von Drehle. Ezekial, aka "The Chocolate Giant" is a genuine wordsmith. Through his spoken word tributes such as The Lyric Project, Ezekial continues to define himself as a true artist, seeking every possible way to connect artistically to the world around him.
THMPR is very much looking forward to this collaboration.
