In compliance with COVID-19 health and safety practices single event tickets will not be sold to the 2021 PDX Jazz Festival. Guest parties will be seated together at their designated table. Tables will be safely distanced and may be purchased for 2 guests, 4 guests, or 6 guests. Each show is limited to 50 guests. Face masks are required for entry into the venue and must be worn when not seated at your table. Everyones temperature will be taken at the door before entry and hand sanitizer will be provided upon request.Ted Poor is a Seattle-based drummer whose adventurous, soulful playing has vaulted him to the stages of some of todays most vital artists. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Ted has toured and recorded with such renowned artists as Paul Simon, Bill Frisell, Pat Metheny, Blake Mills, Madison Cunningham and Gabriel Kahane. He performed in the house band on the live radio broadcast of Live From Here with Chris Thile (formerly A Prairie HomeCompanion). Ted is a member of Andrew Birds band, and he is an Assistant Professor of Jazz Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle. His debut album, You Already Know, is out now on Impulse! (Verve/UMG). For this special duo presentation, Ted will be joined by trumpeter Cuong Vu who has performed with Pat Metheny, Laurie Anderson and David Bowie.
