Stephanie Strange has been sharing her messages with Portland audiences for more than thirteen years and building the dark and whimsical Strange World for five years. Join us for a very special Halloween show - and the release of the new CD "Strange World"!

She won RAW Artist of the Year in 2011, and performed at SXSW, Siren Nation Festival, and Folkfest in 2019. Strange & the Familiars released their first album, Pretty Deadly, in 2016. Soon after, the first comic book collaboration between Stephanie Strange and artist Jay Reynolds was released, explicitly inviting listeners for the first time into the Strange World. Their second album is due for release on Halloween of 2021, with the first full length comic book.

For those who are lost, broken, left behind.
For the mad ones and the sad ones, the invisible and forgotten.
For those who have been locked up and brushed aside.
For those who still have stardust tangled in their hair, who live with one foot out.
For those of you who can see that there is more to this world than meets the eye...

Pull back the veil and enter the Strange World, where black cats prowl through your nightmares, ghosts sing in the wind, and women with dark gifts walk among you.

On the surface, everything is as it appears to be, but when you look closer you’ll see the strange and unusual have been gathering, people who sometimes see the world as it truly is, drawn together by forces unseen. At the eye of the storm sit three black cats who have been sent to walk with humans, and help protect them from their own fears.

Minda Lacy is a musician from the desert currently living in the PNW. She has a blues/jazz influenced folk vibe with vaguely morbid psychedelic undertones and a light hearted sweetness reminiscent of a cool breeze blowing through a chinchillas belly fur.
